International mobility of our students
Being open to the world is an integral part of the educational project of CESI. All engineering students spend at least one year abroad. Language and intercultural skills are also part of learning objectives.
International experience: a priority for CESI School of Engineering
Depending on your academic status, you will spend a minimum of 12 or 15 weeks abroad during the 4th year of your engineering studies: you will have the opportunity to complete an internship in a company or a research laboratory, to participate in an academic exchange program or a double degree course. International mobility is compulsory for obtaining the engineering degree.
100% of our future engineers undergo an international experience of at least four months during the course of their studies.
Gaining international experience during your engineering training means the chance to :
This mobility must take place during the fourth year of engineering studies, but of course you have the opportunity to complete other work experience periods abroad, in addition to this compulsory period, either during the first years of studies or as part of the fifth year graduation project.
A dual course offer also gives the school’s students the choice to diversify and extend their studies in order to obtain a double degree with a partner institution.
International mobility : modalities
According to your profile, your international mobility may take different forms :
You can also apply for one of the dual degree programs offered in particular with the Université of Québec in Montréal (UQAM), the Ecole de Technologie Supérieure (ETS), the Université de Sherbrooke, Université Laval or the University of California Riverside (UCR) in the fields of computer science, engineering, information technology, environmental engineering, automated production, management, entrepreneurship, etc.
In addition to the academic semester or dual courses, the school also offers internships in companies and laboratories every year. However, the students mostly find their placements on their own.
To find out more about the international mobility program that suits you best, please contact the international correspondent in your institution or the teaching staff.
Information meetings are also organized throughout your studies to guide you and help you define your mobility project.
Our international partnerships can also be viewed on the internal platform dedicated to international mobility: go to ENT to access Mobility Online!
Mobility support
Mobility support can be granted for a period of study or internship through the Erasmus + programs, regional scholarships, or FITEC programs.
Since the amounts granted to our school do not cover all needs, award criteria for FITEC programs and Erasmus+ scholarships are fixed for each application campaign. Posters on your campus and the dedicated web page will inform you about these criteria.
For information on the regional scholarships available on your campus and the eligibility criteria, please contact your local international correspondent.
