We met Molka CHERGUI, a dedicated international student from Tunisia, who shared her experience of studying at CESI and her involvement in the CESI International community.

Discover CESI International

Q. : Can you tell us about your involvement in CESI International?

Getting involved in a club like CESI International is first and foremost an incredible human adventure. It’s the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds, exchange ideas, discover new cultures and build meaningful relationships. It’s also about being able to help and support newcomers to adapt to a new environment and make their integration smoother and warmer.

Q. : What have you gained from this experience?

This involvement has given me a lot, whether in terms of learning, sharing or personal fulfilment. You give your time and energy, but you get so much in return: connections, smiles and a real sense of achievement.

During this summer’s camp, we welcomed students from the Sainte Jeanne d’Arc institution in Dakar. CESI International organised a programme of activities and cultural outings.

Before becoming an active member of CESI International, Molka was first and foremost an international student from Tunisia. She enrolled in the five-year preparatory cycle of the engineering program. She tells us more about her journey and her arrival in France.

Molka CHERGUI’s background

Q. : Could you introduce yourself?

My name is Molka CHERGUI. I am currently in the second year of the preparatory cycle, and I chose the computer science minor at CESI’s engineering school campus in Nanterre, near Paris. I’m from Tunisia, and I’ve been studying at CESI for two years now.

Q. : How was your arrival in France?

Moving to France was a major step in my life. It was both exciting and a bit stressful, as I had to adapt to a new environment, a new culture and above all, navigate complex administrative procedures.

Q. : Did you encounter any difficulties?

Finding accommodation, understanding the healthcare system, and being far from my family weren’t easy at first. However, with time and determination, I was able to overcome these challenges and feel more comfortable.

Today, Molka is fully integrated into her academic and campus life. She explains what convinced her to choose CESI over other engineering schools.

Why did she choose CESI?

Q. : How did you first hear about CESI?

While exploring top engineering schools in France, I came across several rankings that listed CESI among the top 14 institutions. I decided to look into it further, and what I discovered about the teaching approach, student support, and available opportunities ultimately convinced me to apply.

Q. : How was the support from CESI?

What really reassured me was that CESI supported us even before we arrived in France. The school helped with all the procedures: visa, housing, health insurance, and more.

Once we were here, we weren’t left alone. The teaching staff is always available and supportive, and there is a strong sense of solidarity among students. Honestly, it really helped me settle in and focus more calmly on my studies.

Q. : Would you recommend CESI to other students planning to study abroad ?

I would definitely recommend CESI, not only for the quality of its education but also for the support provided both before and after arrival. Moreover, the school truly makes every effort to help international students integrate and succeed. If you’re looking for an engineering school in France that offers a great learning environment and strong support, CESI is an excellent choice!
